The product, lot and UPC numbers are on the back of the packaging. If you don't have the original packaging, use the manufacturing date located on the label on the lighter handle.
Issue
These lighters may pose a fire or burn hazard by:
- exceeding the allowable flame height
- producing an abnormal, sudden increase in flame height
- continuing to burn after the trigger has been released
The company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada as of June 22, 2018.
What you should do
Immediately stop using the recalled lighters and return them to a Canadian Tire store for a refund.
